I'm Sorry!

March 7, 2019

Hi Friend. I Owe You an Apology!

For what?

That's a good question.

Please allow me to explain. Some time ago, you signed up for Ms. Zipporah’s Pen. Why? Something caught your eye, sparked, or intrigued you about my blog.

I promised to “take you along on my journey, making a few pit stops along the way.” Unfortunately, this last pit stop took a little longer than usual.

For that, I apologize!

Remember when we sat in the back seat of the car on those long road trips with family? How many times did you request, “Are we there yet?” Every pit stop-gas, bathroom, and food break-while necessary, temporarily prolonged the trip.

This is one of those moments.

Here’s what happened:

I messed up! The multi-tasker and organized person, dedicated more time to ‘self-editing,’ reading, reviewing book coaching lessons, and organizing my manuscript than blogging. I tried getting back to Ms. Zipporah’s Pen, not just to blog, but to check in and see how you were doing. Somehow, other obligations and the busyness of life got in the way.

I should have paid rapt attention and focused on being the tour guide. Instead I was distracted by the things going on around me, the places I wanted to go, and the things I wanted to do on this journey. Not asleep at the wheel, just distracted. Lesson learned.

For that, I must apologize!

My blog notebook contains a host of topics I plan to share with you. While it’s important for me to write (and finish my novel), it’s equally important to give my readers the best, share my message, and connect with each of you

You embarked upon this journey and signed up for my newsletter to receive encouragement, support, and inspiration-get to know a little bit more about me. At least that’s what I’d like to believe (I say with a smile). You took a chance on me. You were enjoying the ride. We were connecting. I regret that I took so long to return.

Can you forgive me?

We bonded and I’ve missed you!

Glancing in my rear-view mirror, I noticed some of you sitting with arms folded, rolling your eyes, and saying, “All right, already!” Others are skeptical stating, “Don’t do that again!” Still, others remain hopeful giving me the “I’m here now. What’s next?” look. Believe me, I understand.

Thank you for trusting me and staying.

I’ll start the ignition as we head out to our next stop.

* Did I mention, everyone who waited patiently during that prolonged pit stop will receive a free copy of my novel upon completion?

Until next time…

~ Ms. Zipporah
