How Are You Really Doing?
So. How Are You Really Doing? Talk to me.
How is your family? I know it's not easy. I pray that you and the family are safe.
I'm concerned about you. Covid-19. Isolation. Personal Protective Equipment. Unrest. Critical times hard to deal with have been taking a toll on us mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Anxiety levels are at an all time high while we're all trying to process the pandemic of Covid-19, grief and unknown.
I'M HERE TO HELP!
Mental Health is so important. I'll repeat that. Mental Health is so important!
There's so much going on in the world that influence us, not to mention the environment and our own struggles and thoughts. At times, it feels like a constant barrage or storm of overwhelming feelings.
As a Mental Health First Responder, I learned - "You can't pour from an empty cup. Self-Care is not selfish."
Here's my unsolicited advice of the day. Take care of yourself.
If you need help, ask for it.
*Domestic Survivors & those suffering abuse, if you're in distress and need me to send help (request: "a to-go bag" and I'll follow up with you).
If someone notices you seem out of sorts and offers to help, ALLOW THEM!
"No" is a COMPLETE sentence. (I learned that the hard way.
Get plenty of rest.
Find something to be grateful for everyday.
There is a special place in my heart for all front line workers - Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, EMS, other healthcare workers and cleaning crews. Your tireless sacrifice and efforts to help others...saving lives pull at my heartstrings every time. Thank you.
My heart goes out to the families of those suffering with the virus, as well as those who lost loved ones. My prayers go out to all.
Everyone's deals with stress differently. My FAITH helps me remain grounded. It's keeps me positive, hopeful, and and helps me to see clearly how to help others...
I'm spreading a new virus. It's called LOVE
My Love to you...
While I'm not able to hold your hand or smother you with my signature "bear hugs." If you need to get something off your chest, need to take out/drop off your trash of negative thoughts, need a friend, or want to be encouraged, please don't hesitate. I'm here for YOU.
Sending virtual hugs to you and yours.
~ Love Ms. Zipporah
